See how much smaller it got, then download the result.

Make big PDFs email-friendly

Email and upload forms often reject files over a few megabytes, and scanned documents are usually the worst offenders. PDFNest's compressor rebuilds each page as an optimised image at the quality level you choose, which dramatically cuts the size of photo-heavy and scanned PDFs.

Everything happens in your browser, so even confidential scans never leave your device. If a PDF is mostly plain text it may already be small — in that case the savings will be modest, which is completely normal.

Compress PDF — FAQ

How much smaller will my PDF get?

It depends on the file. Scanned and image-heavy PDFs often shrink a lot; PDFs that are already mostly text may only shrink a little.

Will the text still be selectable?

This compressor rebuilds pages as images, so text becomes part of the image. If you need selectable text, use a lighter level or a different tool.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Compression runs entirely in your browser and your file is never uploaded.
